Referendum 2021Our School Board is committed to informing the district voters about our referendum for the Spring 2021 elections on April 6, 2021.
We will update this page whenever we have new information, so please check back often. The NeedThe funds from the referendum will go to operational costs. This includes: student programming and activities, building utilities, and maintenance projects.
Passing the referendum means that students will continue to have the opportunities to participate in more than academics. Students will continue to have the opportunity to participate in sports, explore the arts, and learn the latest in technology. School building operation also contributes to the educational experience of our children. We are committed to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for learning and growing. |

The Ballot Question
The School Board is asking one question:
Shall the following resolution be approved?
RESOLUTION TO INCREASE REVENUE LIMITS
Be it resolved by the School Board of the Linn-Bloomfield
Joint School District No. 4, Walworth County, Wisconsin,
that the school district budget for the 2021-22 school year,
and for each successive year thereafter, shall include, on
a recurring basis, an amount of $250,000 in excess of the
revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m) of the
Wisconsin Statutes in order to provide for the operational
needs of the School District.

The Tax Impact
You may be asking what this means for you as a taxpayer. There is a one-time projected mill rate increase of $0.35 on the 2022 tax bill. The average monthly cost breaks down like this:
A successful referendum will see an increase ONLY in 2022, and the amount is still less than the 2020 mill rate. The mill rate is projected to go back down in 2023 to nearly the same amount as this year, 2021, and is projected to continue to decrease.

Upcoming Events
Join us for an informational meeting on March 9 at 6:00 PM or on March 18 at 6:30 PM. Both the Board and the District Administrator, Allyssa Andersen, will be present to help answer questions you may have. Both meetings will be held in the gymnasium.
