Hi! My name is Tami Martin. I grew up in Southwestern, WI and moved to this area for my first teaching job 24 years ago. I am a mom of two teenage boys. I graduated from Carroll University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood education. I have a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. My first job out of college was an in-home teacher trainer for Head Start in Sauk County. Since then I have taught 4K, Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade for Walworth and Lake Geneva school district. This is my first year teaching fourth grade at Traver School after working in administration for several years.
I love working here because Traver students are amazing! I love the K-8 environment in which the big kids and little kids learn from each other. I love how excited kids are to come to school everyday and learn. Their smiles as they walk in everyday make teaching them a joy. I love how the Traver staff truly gets to know all the students and are caring and invested with all students even if that students is not in their homeroom. Fun Facts: Favorite animal: Dogs (just ask me about mine!) Favorite thing to drink: coffee Favorite Foods: lasagna, tacos, and bagels Favorite sport: Soccer Favorite book series: Harry Potter |
