The regular open enrollment window for the 2026-27 school year is open on February 2, 2026 and closes on April 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Alternate Open Enrollment opens on July 1 and is open through January each year.
Our district is called Linn J4 (even though our school name is Traver School).
We have regular education spaces in all grades, 4K through 8th grade!

We welcome everyone for enrollment in 4K through 8th Grade:
- Families who want their children to be caring and respectful citizens of the world: - Residents of the district - District residents who have open enrolled but would like to come back to us (just let us know you're coming back) - Families outside the district who are looking for small class sizes and personal attention (open enrollment) We would love for your children to attend our school! We welcome questions and school visits. Please call (262) 248-4067 or fill out the contact form below. Our District Administrator, Mrs. Andersen, will be happy to assist you. We offer families free wraparound care for school-aged children on school days! If your child is 4 years old by September 1 of the current school year, please contact us! Click here for more information on our 4K programming We'll send you a "Getting to Know You" form to complete and send back. If you are applying for open enrollment for your 4K'er, please also apply online through the DPI website. **If you are a non-resident who has a child who already attends Traver: any siblings who are ready to attend must apply on the DPI website. Applications are unique to each student.** Filling out the form is a one-time process. Once you are accepted as an open-enrolled student, your information stays in our system. The only time it would be changed is if you were to stop attending Traver--then you would need to reapply to return.
