Hi! I'm Julie Juszczyk, AKA Mrs. J., and I love all things art. I love the art of being a wife and mom (4 kids, 1 husband), I love the art of teaching and bringing out the best in kids (especially creativity), and I love the art of learning (today, tomorrow, and forever). It didn't exactly occur to me that learning was a lifelong skill when I was a kid, but while I was in college, it all came together that the greatest skill to learn in school is to want to keep learning for the rest of your life. What a perfect career for me: teaching! 
I earned my Bachelors in Education at Eastern IL University and then my Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Curriculum and Instruction at National Louis University while teaching kindergarten in Illinois. I had the privilege to be at home with my 4 beautiful children for a few years, but now I have the pleasure of working here at Traver School since 2018. Fun fact: I used to live in Hawaii and worked as a day camp counselor. I'm no Georgia O'Keeffe painting pineapples, but WOW the landscapes are breathtaking!
