The fourth through eighth graders read the book "Cindy Bentley: Spirit of a Champion". It is about a woman with an intellectual disability that overcame many hardships in her life through perseverance. It was exciting to also have her as a guest in our school! The students enjoyed a question and answer session with Cindy Bentley and Bob Kann, the author of the book. At the end of the session, Ms. Bentley signed books that some of our kids won in a drawing. It was a great experience!

Thanks to Traver School for having Cindy Bentley visit their school! The themes of self-determination, resiliency, and inclusion that Cindy promotes are so important for kids to hear. Thanks again!
