At the end of each math unit Mrs. Kutschenreuter designs a project that puts students' knowledge to use in a real-world situation. Sixth graders added fractions and used measuring techniques to design a birdhouse. After learning about integers and the coordinate plane, seventh graders created their own star patterns. Fifth graders also recorded weather data and created a line graph of temperatures, a bar graph of precipitation, and a pictograph showing the frequency of different types of weather.
